———————————————————————————————————–

Dear Siblings in Christ,

Last week we began a new Bible study – “The Forgiveness Challenge” and what a session it was! While this topic is far from easy, it touches most of us in one way or another. In that first session we looked at the forgiveness and the ways and places it shows up in the Bible. But don’t worry if you didn’t catch last week’s session.
In this session, we will talk about why it can be so difficult to forgive someone (or ourselves) and take a look at a few places in scripture where forgiveness was the last thing the writers wanted to do. One of the best examples being from Psalm 137:8-9:
“O daughter Babylon, you devastator!

Happy shall they be who pay you back
what you have done to us!
Happy shall they be who take your little ones
and dash them against the rock!

Doesn’t sound very forgiv-y does it? Why on earth is this in the Bible? What can we learn from it? I look forward to our conversation tonight! See the link below.
Peace,
Pastor Beau
